Since our launch, the team at Destined Joy’s Kreations, Inc. has worked diligently to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have supporters from all walks of life who will bring their expertise and resources into everything we do. This is what enables us to consistently achieve our goals. While there is always room for improvement, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact in the community. We believe that our student’s success is our success! Youth Culinary Class
Our youth culinary class is a beginner's course led by skilled and experienced culinary professionals. Topics covered: food safety and sanitation, identifying flavors and flavor development; mastering the five mother sauces, food pairing, creative menu planning, plating presentation, international cuisines, proper use of different knives. As a result of this course students feel more confident, self-sufficient and overall equipped to navigate like a professional, well-rounded chef. Students will receive their Illinois Food Handler’s certification.

Financial Literacy Class
Our financial literacy class led by licensed financial advisors educates youth about the importance of finances, budgeting, credit management, college funding, investing, retirement and savings. This course will equip each student with the tools and resources to discern financial risks, how to avoid debt and bankruptcy and the importance of building generational wealth.

Career Development Class
Our career development class equips students with the tools, strategies and resources to recognize their skillsets and have a jumpstart at success. Paired with a career coach, topics will include: constructing a professional resume and cover letter, interview skills, job search and salary negotiation. As of result of our career development class, youth feel more confident to pursue the career of their dreams.

Meet Chef Moriah
Chef Moriah has 15 years of culinary experience. While she has cooked in many of places and has learned new and innovative ways of food preparation, the kitchen is no stranger to her. She has shown our students at Destined Joy’s Kreations what fun, creativity and problem-solving looks like.
